OUR LOVE STORY: RUBY & DANIEL

I love her. It’s my blog so I can say whatever I want🤭. I can’t tell you why I love her but she’s probably the nicest person I’ve ever met on Twitter. She is a precious soul. Her name literally means “deep red precious stone”. Ruby. The name is also associated with success in love, which is probably why she has finally succeeded in this love thing. That’s who I’m talking about if you didn’t know by now. Two people make up a relationship I know😫😫. Permit me to rave about your woman for a bit Daniel🌚. She’s all yours don’t worry. Alright sweet cheeks, let’s get down to the story of the day. It just might be longer than usual but it’ll be worth it I promise.

Ruby and Daniel met on Twitter. I knowwwwwww😫. So many Twitter love stories right now but I love them🥹. She slid into his dms on the 1st of June 2023, after she found out that his birthday happened to be on Christmas Day and hers happens to be on Christmas eve. Prior to this message, he had already responded to a tweet she had made before. Now do you know what i love about this? She says she just wanted to confirm his birthday was truly on Christmas, but i am CONVINCED that Daniel was already entering her eyes small small🌚. Cause truth be told, if you see somebody that you don't find attractive whose birthday may even fall o your own birthday would you even bother? So honestly they were clearly both attracted to something about each other because he RESPONDED. Ladies and gents, check your dms. Pretty sure there's some fine woman/man who's messaged you about something. Not me though. After i shot my shot at one celebrity like this and i was IGNORED like i never even existed, i said never again. TWICE!! 💆🏾‍♀️Moving on......

The conversation about their birthdays being lost in the festivities just went on and moved on to different things. There was obviously some beautiful connection between both of them because it was just so easy. I wasn't there obviously but my spirit was hanging around cause it knew this day would come. Heheheee🤭. One conversation about birthdays is turning into a lifetime of conversations that just make sense beautifully. Sigh 😌 . This thing called Love ❤️!

Fast forward to 13th of July, they were on a video call together which also happened to be their first virtual date. Oh in case you didn't get it from the topic, this is or was a long distance relationship. Hence the topic, LDR. P.S: I didn't know that was what it stood for i swear. I just found out from a tweet my sister made. Sometimes, i think my brain is too old for this generation cause how😫! 13th of July, on the video call, he asked her to be his girlfriend. Meanwhile, some of you that are not even in long distance talking stage you're still "talking" after six months😒. Lol. For the first time this is not a sub at myself. 🤷🏽‍♀️A month after that, on the 13th of August, he had her on a flight to Albania for their first physical date and vacation together. Sighhhhhhh. I won't even sub anybody because i don't feel like attacking myself right now.

So here goes, her first impression of him was that he was very handsome. Did i not tell you people before? He was entering her eyes already. 🌚At some point, she told him she didn't want to talk to him anymore because she doesn't talk to fine guys and she'd have to be dragging his attention with other people. Other women to be specific. Women!🤣 He responded, reassuring her that he was a one woman kind of man and he was a lover boy, but in her head she had the same thought i always have. Seeeeee, we're soul sisters. She said to herself that basically all of YOU MEN say that but you don't always mean it do ya😒. But this fine man here meant it thank the STARS!

Now this next part gave me an idea for a segment i think we should start pretty soon. There are very important questions that people don't ask and they need to at the beginning of a potential relationship. Although, these questions depend on the type of person you are and your belief system. She asked him what he thinks about the LGBTQ community. This is a VERY valid question but then again, depending on your belief system. How a person responds to this most times would tell the kind of heart and mindset the person has towards humanity as a whole. He said and i will quote in her own words. "He was like he doesn't have any hate or vitriol towards them". I just want to let the world know i did not know the meaning of that word vitriol and i had never even heard it in my life as a matter of fact. Had to go check the dictionary but we learn everyday don't we.She then asked him if this was only for the ladies because for some dumb reason, it seems more reasonable and acceptable to you men that women can be lesbians and men cannot be gay. What's good for the goose, is good for the gander guys. Moving on. He said his feeling was for both genders and that made her happy clearly.😊

This next part, i am going to quote her own words because it's part of what made me love her honestly. "And that kinda impressed me because when you meet a lot of Nigerians or certain people, they just have you know this hate inside of them towards people who never harmed them or even said anything to them but just because of your sexual orientation they get so much hate and anger towards them so i just wanted to know what kind of person you know this is, and his mindset". See what i'm talking about?

Synchronicity (i just used big girl grammar🤭), in a relationship, is important especially at the start of the relationship. Let me just point this out, it took a month and two weeks for her to say yes to being his girlfriend. So luckily enough for my girl, she met somebody who has the thing called Patience. He loved her regardless of anything and she had to get used to being with a soft and loving man. I can relate to this cause most Nigerian men tend to be non-chalant about a lot of things. My father would tell me, is he supposed to remind me everyday that he's my father when i ask him why he doesn't say i love you to us😫. I KNOW you're my father and i KNOW you love us like crazy but it wouldn't hurt to hear it😏. The closest my brother has ever said to me is "i luff you"😅. Men! So yeah i relate to that. The first men in her life were somewhat nonchalant about expressing love in certain ways so that was a first for her, being with a man that has no problem being expressive.

When they got together, she would usually tell him that she knew that if she ended up healing and something happened they lose each other, she would look for somebody like him so she wants to be a better person. She even started going to therapy because she wanted to become a better person that is deserving of a man like him. There's something my father always says, the energy that is created between two people that are truly in love would automatically bring the energy of change between them. Sometimes, it's conscious, sometimes it's not. You'd just know you're becoming a better person and that's what happened for both of them in this written in the stars kinda relationship.

Like i said, this is going to be quite long but i am loving every moment of this even while writing this.😌😌Getting together, there were hurdles from an emotional and psychological aspect. They had very different upbringings so they had different expectations. Recently, she was talking to her mum about ho it's time for there to be a man who grew up with love in his family. I saw this video recently about how we should be the ones to break a generational cycle of trauma. Now there are different and many opportunities and provisions to aid a healing process that were not present before but now there are and we need to make use of them while we can. Easier said than done i know. One of these days, we'd have a therapy session that focuses on love and relationships. Don't worry, i have therapist friends whom i would milk.🤭🌚

The relationship is like a fairy-tale for Ruby and God bless Daniel for being the reason for her bliss. He is teaching her how to be a good parent to their future kids and they are learning and growing together everyday. There are certain things that just make me happy in these stories i tell and one of those things is when there is a confirmation from God about a union. It just seals the deal for me and gives me joy. Through scriptures, she heard from God coupled with a message, a CLEAR message from God confirming that Daniel is her other half. A week after, the leader of her prayer group in her church said the exact same message was received from God without the leader even knowing Daniel. There WILL be signs!

When the proposal time came, she was beginning to suspect but she just did not know when and how it would happen. She's just like me because she always wants to be in control and have information. I always say this, if you're in close range with me, don't plan any surprise because i would know. It even got to the point where she would suspect something is going on if she can't reach him for a couple of hours. Apparently something like that had happened in the past where he surprised her by traveling to meet her in Georgia all the way from the UK. (Money is good).🥲 Anywho, instead of him coming all the way to her city like she had assumed he would do, he had them travel to Qatar which just threw her off in a good way. So yes she was expecting the proposal, but not in the way it happened and when. Her friends knew but it was so hard for them to keep it from her. It was a beautiful ceremony at the rooftop with a violinist in the background. To the man that would propose to me in some yearssssssss time, wherever you are, i hope you're taking notes. Thanks a bunch.🙂

Her favorite thing about him is he is a safe space for her. He can and would do anything for her and creates a space for her to feel the best she can be. The confidence and reassurance that she has gives her so much peace. It's not a on sided relationship. She knows that she can do anything for him and go all out and it would be fully appreciated and reciprocated. She loves that he indulges her and he sees life he way she sees life. They are both lovers and that just make life easy for both of them. Plus, she LOVESSSSS his brown eyes. She doesn't tell him enough.

His first impression of her was "oh! Pretty, bubbly and smart". He thought she was quite chatty and could have diverse conversations. His favorite thing about her is her beauty. In his own words, "God took his time on her", her thoughtfulness, her focus, her laughter are all his favorite things about her. Plus, she's a comedy queen, funnier than his favorite sitcoms.

And so my loves, we have come to the end of an epic love story. Not the END, but for this session, the end of my words because there is more to come. Heheheheheheeeeee. Can i just add that Ruby is a very beautiful soul and i wish her, which i'm sure you all do, i wish her alllllll the love that could ever be felt. I wish her the best life with her Daniel and i CANNOT wait to see how their lives blossom together.❤️❤️
