OUR LOVE STORY: TOKS & NUEL

When listening to this story, I represented my aww community so well that I have been promoted to the Vice President position. This particular story is one that is very dear and special to me hence it is the first story of this series. It’s the story of how my sister met the absolute love of her life. The story of Toks and Nuel.

It was a bright and sunny day. Okay wait let’s start with the actual background of the story. So my Sister Toks, who is also my cousin but is obviously still my sister has a younger sister Ese. At some point, Ese wanted to start a t-shirt brand so she needed someone in Port-Harcourt city who could help her print the designs on the t-shirts. Now she was already printing somewhere in Lagos but the cost of shipping and all that was tasking and eventually she wouldn’t yield enough profit. So on a very beautiful Sunday, imagine a bright and sunny day at this point where the sun is not so scorching to be annoying and the birds are chirping in the air and everybody is just jolly. On this very beautiful Sunday, Ese was introduced to Nuel by a mutual friend. Nuel does designs so that was why the introduction was made. 

At that point of course, Nuel was a non existent person in Toks’ life so he didn’t necessarily stand out to her at that particular point. Toks decided to follow Ese to the meeting and all the while she was feeling awkward because neither of them knew each other and neither of them had any business with each other. My darlings, in my personal opinion, they were both unconsciously checking each other out with their souls but who am I to assume that. I am just the Vice President of the aww community after all. Anyway back to the lovers. They both didn’t say anything to each other so Toks left the meeting and that was that for that day. All she noted was he wore a denim jacket that day. Hmm, the denim that started the whole love journey.😏

Some Sundays after, Nuel was sitting behind her in church. Some seats almost way behind her but there was a pillar that was obstructing his view of the front. So he told an usher that he wanted to change his seat and his request was granted. He sat on the row behind her and finally noticed my beautiful sister. In his head he was like ‘ah ah this babe is fine o’. Meanwhile he’s supposed to be listening to sermon o. He now went further to think that my beautiful sister looked like a small girl. The audacity. After that, he still didn’t approach her. Na wa oh. That same day, Ese and Toks took a picture and she posted it. Nuel saw the post and asked who the fine girl is. Ese told him ‘oh that’s my elder sister’ which shocked him because he thought she was a really young person. Anyway that’s how baba went to my sister’s page and followed her after liking all her pictures. Stalker much. When she noticed he had followed her, she told Ese and they laughed about it saying ‘Grevo that is looking for wife’. (Grevo is his business page which I will post the link to at the end).

Two weeks after that, the general overseer of the church came around and Toks took a picture with him. Nuel then saw the picture and commented under it talking about how it wasn’t fair that he missed. So my beautiful wonderful sister then decided to enter his dms and ask why he wasn’t around. He then said he had to travel for a family matter but he would be back the following week. From there they started talking on Instagram constantly. For a while they maintained the consistency of keeping in touch which is cute because if you message me on Insta, the probability of me responding is low. 😞Maybe that’s why I’m not married. Na wa oh. Eventually because my sister is bold cause it can’t be me, she asked him when he was going to ask for her number. She says it’s not because she wanted him to have her number or anything but because she was tired of using Insta. Is a lie sha. He was already entering her eyes so she wanted more personal and constant contact with him. I see you. 😏From there they were constantly in touch. Eventually Nuel asked my sister out some weeks after. Sixteen months after he proposed to Toks and asked her to be his for the rest of his life in his hotel room in the presence of other friends. God when. 11 months after they got married in a very beautiful ceremony that I was supposed to be part of as a bridesmaid but Life happened and I cried. And they even have an Instagram page as a couple you guys🤧🤧

Anyway you people, the lesson of this story is go to church and maybe your partner is looking at you from the back instead of listening to the sermon. I Love you and see you in the next love story.😘😘😘😘❤️❤️❤️❤️
